Workshop Objectives

The objective of this course to introduce the key concepts and develop a basic understanding of how a safety related control function (SCRF) is assessed, designed, installed, commissioned, operated, managed and maintained to the required level of risk reduction.

This course assists in developing a basic understanding of the competencies required to manage the SCRF from management to technician and is a good introductory course for those wishing to progress to the third party accredited machinery functional safety engineer course.

• Defining Basic Electrical Safety Principles (IEC 60204-1)

• Performing ISO 13849/IEC 62061 calculations
